Diabetes Care, Diet and Lifestyle education

We advise on all aspects of diabetes care, including diet and lifestyle education, the most up-to-date medication, screening for complications, wound care and referral to appropriate specialists as/when the patient’s condition dictates.


Many diabetic patients are unaware of the dangers of this chronic disease, should it not be properly controlled. Educating our diabetics to help prevent complications and/or control the progression of complications is our specialty.

Diabetes has reached epidemic proportions globally. According to the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), there are 463million adults with diabetes worldwide and this is estimated to increase to 700million by 2045. The prevalence of diabetes in South African adults is currently 12.8% and is considered to be the leading cause of death in South Africa.
